WELCOME TO ADIDAS PREMIÄRHALVAN APRIL 26

Here you will find everything you need to know for adidas Premiärhalvan on April 26.

START CERTIFICATE

You will receive your start certificate via email on April 11. If you register after April 11, you will receive your start certificate via email within a few days after registration. Bring the start certificate when you pick up your bib number; you can show it on your phone to avoid unnecessary printing. If you have lost the start certificate, bring an ID.

BIB NUMBER DISTRIBUTION AT LÖPLABBET

You can pick up your bib number at the adidas pop-up store at Löplabbet, Kungsgatan 35, on April 24-25 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. If you are unable to pick up the bib number yourself, you can give the start certificate to someone else to pick it up for you. If you are traveling from afar, it will be possible to pick up your bib number at the Information Tent in the event area from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on April 26.

20% DISCOUNT ON ADIDAS CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES

Take the opportunity to update your running wardrobe for spring. From April 24-27, there is a 20% discount on adidas clothing and accessories (excluding the SWE Collection with Swedish Athletics) for adidas Premiärhalvan participants at the adidas pop-up store at Löplabbet, Kungsgatan 35. Show your start certificate along with ID at the checkout.

BIB NUMBER

The bib number is personal and cannot be transferred to another runner. For optimal timing, the tab at the top, which contains a data chip, should be angled away from the body at an angle between 45 and 90 degrees. On the back of the bib number, write the name and phone number of a relative, and if you are on medication or have any medical conditions. This is to assist our first aid team if you encounter any problems during the race.

LATE REGISTRATION

If you missed registering for adidas Premiärhalvan, you can do so digitally (subject to availability) via the regular registration page up to 1 hour before the start on April 26. The late registration fee is 695 SEK (April 21-26). Payment can only be made via Swish.

EVENT AREA

HOW TO GET THERE

Södra Djurgården, where adidas Premiärhalvan takes place, is part of the National City Park, a forest area that offers unique natural values. The area is protected, and we therefore ask you to consider the environment when choosing transportation on the event day. Please be at the event area at Biskopsudden well in advance of the start. Many people will be sharing the space on trams, buses, and ferries as other events are taking place on Djurgården the same day. Feel free to cycle to Södra Djurgården and park your bike at our bike parking.

There are several ways to get to the event area at Biskopsudden:
  • Subway red line 13 to Karlaplan. Exit at Karlaplan where there will be shuttle buses to Waldemarsudde from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
  • Tram line 7 to Waldemarsudde (700 m walking distance).
  • Bus 67 to Waldemarsudde (700 m walking distance).
  • Bus 69 to/from Nobelgatan (2 km walking distance).
  • Commuter ferry Djurgårdsfärjan line 82 to Allmänna Gränd (1600 m walking distance).
  • Commuter ferry 80 to Allmänna Gränd (1600 m walking distance) and Blockhusudden (1700 m walking distance).

Additional information is available at sl.se.

PARKING

We recommend leaving your car at home as Djurgården is closed to car traffic during the weekend for everyone without a special permit. If you must drive, we recommend parking at Narvavägen and Karlavägen. Then take public transportation or walk the last bit to Biskopsudden. You can also park at Kaknästornet and drive via Lindarängsvägen. Please note that parking spaces are subject to a fee.

COURSE

The adidas Premiärhalvan course runs on Södra Djurgården. The start and finish area is at Biskopsudden. The surface is asphalt and gravel. There are kilometer markers at each kilometer along the course. The course, which is 21,098 meters, is officially measured by Mikael Hill, an approved course measurer from the Swedish Athletics Federation. Subject to changes.

WATER AND ENERGY STATIONS

Along the course, there will be six water stations. They will be located at 2.9 km (water), 5.6 km (water and sports drink), 9.5 km (water and sports drink), 12.8 km (water and sports drink), 16.4 km (water and sports drink), and 18.3 km (water). At the water stations, Enervit sports drink and water will be served. The first tables will have sports drink, followed by water.

There will also be water available in the event area before the start and after the finish. Along the course, there are two energy stations located just before the water stations. We will serve Dextro Energy tablets (9.5 km) and Dextro Energy Gums (16.4 km).

WASTE ZONES

For longer distances, it is common for runners to take extra energy between our service stations, such as gels or bars. To assist you, we have added several designated waste zones along the course where you can dispose of your trash. These are located at 7.7 km, 11.1 km, 14.8 km, 17.3 km, and 19.2 km.

It is forbidden to litter in Sweden, and this applies to races as well. We urge you to plan your energy intake and hold onto your trash until you can dispose of it properly. If you litter outside the designated areas, you risk disqualification. Additionally, there is a high likelihood that the trash will blow into open water or bushes, making it very difficult to clean up.

In other endurance events, such as skiing and cycling, this behavior has been more or less eliminated among participants. Let’s not be any worse in running and help keep our cities beautiful!

FOUR SPLIT TIME DISPLAYS

Split times will be displayed at 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, and 20 km. Note that the clocks start according to the first start group’s start time at 11:00 AM. If you are running in the second, third start group, and so on, you will need to subtract five or ten minutes from the time displayed on the split time clocks.

CHEERING ACTIVITIES ALONG THE COURSE

As a runner in the adidas Premiärhalvan, you should feel that you are the focus of the day. You will be cheered on by the audience, our volunteers, and DJs. Runacademy’s enthusiastic cheer squad will be positioned around 5.9 km and 7.7 km into the race and will give you energy all the way to the finish line!

MAXIMUM TIME AND MINIMUM AGE

The police authority has granted a maximum time of 3 hours. This means that those starting in the eighth start group must finish by 2:35 PM. You must pass the event area at Biskopsudden at approximately 14.2 km before 1:40 PM to continue the race. If you arrive after the designated time, you will be directed straight to the finish. The Swedish Athletics Federation’s competition rules apply during the race. All participants compete at their own risk. The minimum age is 18 years (the year you turn 18), which means you must be born in 2007 or earlier to start.

COMPETITION RULES

Walking poles, strollers, inline skates, roller skis, bicycles, handcycles, and racing wheelchairs are not allowed. For wheelchair participants, the following applies:

  • Same age requirements as other participants.
  • A guide is optional and free of charge (contact [email protected] to register a guide).
  • No competition class.
  • Free-wheel is recommended.
  • No participation in racing wheelchairs.
  • Start in the last start group.
  • Accessibility may be limited in some areas along the course, such as curbs.

PRIZE MONEY

Prize money of 10,000 SEK, 6,000 SEK, and 4,000 SEK will be awarded to the first, second, and third fastest runners in the women’s and men’s classes. To compete for the prizes, you must start in the first start group at 11:00 AM. The top three in each class who cross the finish line will be placed 1-3.

PLEASE NOTE THAT…

21,098 meters is a long distance, and you need to have energy left for the end of the race. Do not participate if you are not completely healthy, and do not push yourself to continue if you feel sick. It can be risky to run if you have a cold or feel unwell.

SERVICE CHANGING FACILITIES

We recommend that you come dressed for the event. There is a tent for changing (no shower facilities) in the event area, but space is limited.

TOILETS

There are toilets adjacent to the event area. There are also toilets at the water stations along the course. Use the toilets, not nature – remember that we are in the Royal National City Park. Free menstrual products are always available at our information tent at all our races for those who need them!

CLOTHING STORAGE

There is a clothing storage area adjacent to the event area. Tear off the perforated part at the bottom of your bib number and attach the punched tag to your waterproof (there is no roof over the clothing storage) bag with your extra clothes, which you leave at the clothing storage in the event area. Place the other tag in the bag. Please leave your bag in good time before the start as there may be queues. Remember to bring a bag for your clothes and a safety pin to attach the punched tag to your bag.

FINISH LINE SERVICE

When you cross the finish line, you will first receive your beautiful medal (if you did not actively opt out!). During registration, you had the option to opt out of the medal as part of our sustainability efforts and to reduce unnecessary consumption. Your bib number will say ”NO MEDAL” if you opted out. Then we offer Vitamin Well drinks, Knoppers bars (contain nuts), BE-KIND protein bars (contain nuts), Barebells protein bars, ProPud chocolate milkshake, and Dextro Energy products.

SELFIE SPOT

Take a fun selfie after finishing the adidas Premiärhalvan with your finish time. Maybe you set a PB and want to show off your incredible achievement!

RESULTS

Immediately after the race, you will find the preliminary results list on premiärhalvan.se. The official results list will be published about a week after the race. Regardless of which start group you choose, your time will be calculated from when you cross the start line and then the finish line.

MEDICAL SERVICE

Our first aid team is on-site in the event area and at the water stations along the course. Do not participate if you are not completely healthy; it can be risky to run if you have a cold or feel unwell. Feel free to consult our first aid team before the start if you are unsure about participating.

During the race, the first aid team’s role is to provide first aid and ensure that participants who need further care are transported to the hospital. Remember to have energy left for the end of the race and do not push yourself to continue if you feel sick or injured. The first aid team’s role is not to ensure that a participant who feels unwell or is visibly injured can continue. They have the right to remove injured or exhausted runners from the course. If you need help getting back to the event area, we have motorcycle transport service – contact the nearest volunteer.

SUSTAINABILITY WORK

As organizers of large events, we are aware of the need to reduce our impact on both nature and the environment. You, as a participant, can actively contribute by taking public transportation to the event, using fewer disposable materials, making climate-smart choices in your daily life, and offsetting your carbon footprint. Read more about Marathongruppen’s work here Sustainability – Marathongruppen. In the forests and parks, we stick to the marked courses and respect the regulations of the National City Park. Many animals live in the National City Park, so be extra careful to take your safety pins home!

We are incredibly proud of our collaboration with Sortera, which means that we sort all waste at the recycling station in the event area. Please be careful to dispose of your waste in the recycling bins and in the correct bag. Clear signs show how to sort. After the event, Sortera collects the waste for further processing at their facilities. Thank you for always looking for Sortera’s recycling station when you need to dispose of something. It makes our cleaning easier, and you are an important part of our sustainable collaboration with Sortera. Read more about Sortera at www.sortera.se.
